1. On 29 May 2024 the Appellant lodged their appeal on the GRC1 form. The appeal was incomplete because it was not clear whether the Appellant had a right of appeal. 2. By Directions and an email issued on 5 June 2024, the Appellant was required to complete and return the “Pensions – right to appeal” form to the Tribunal within 28 days. The Appellant failed to comply with those Directions. 3. By Case Management Directions dated 1 August 2024 the Appellant was directed to complete and return the “Pensions – right to appeal” form to the Tribunal by no later than 15 August 2024. 4. The Appellant was asked to note that a failure to comply with the direction could lead to the Tribunal striking out the appeal for failure to comply pursuant to Rule 8(3)(a) of the Rules without further direction. 5. The Appellant has failed to comply with the direction. 6. The Appellant failed to comply with the Case Management Directions dated 1 August 2024 and there are grounds to strike out the appeal because the Appellant failed to comply with a direction that stated that failure to comply with the direction could lead to the striking out of the proceedings. 7. The Appellant may apply for the proceedings to be reinstated under Rules 8(5) and (6) of the Rules. The application must be in writing and be received by the Tribunal within 28 days after the date on which this Decision is issued.
